Alisha Palmowski (born 21 September 2006 in Glossop, Derbyshire, United Kingdom) is a British racing driver who served as a test driver for Envision Racing during the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.[1] Runner-up in the 2024 GB4 Championship, Palmowski got her FE test debut at the 2024 Jarama Test, taking part in the women's only session staged during that four day test.[1]
Background[]
Palmowski had a traditional start to her racing career in karting, racing in various series until 2022 when she moved up to race cars, entering the Ginetta Junior Championship as well as its counterpart winter series, finishing second in the latter.[2] A sophmore season in Ginetta Junior saw Palmowski move up to fifth in the standings having become a semi-regular podium finisher, before moving to the GB4 Championship for 2024, where Palmowski would win on her debut.[2] Palmowski would emerge as one of the main title protagonists in GB4, although would ultimately end up as runner-up, while also making a wildcard entry in the F1 Academy series towards the end of the season.[2]
Formula E History[]
Palmowski was signed up to join Alice Powell at Envision Racing ahead of the 2024 Jarama Test, after it was revealed that all teams would have to field at least one female driver at the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship pre-season test.[1] Taking part in the women's only session held as part of the four day test, Palmowski would end the day two seconds off the pace of her more experienced teammate, but would notably not use the Attack Mode boost on her fastest lap, and without having as much on-track time during the session.[3]
