DHL Express, better known simply as DHL, are a German based logistics and transport company, owned by Deutsche Post DHL.[2] Originally founded in the United States, DHL have had a long association with motorsport, sponsoring various teams in Formula One and the American Le Mans Series since the early 2000s.[2]

Given their interest in transport and sponsorship, DHL were quick to become a founding partner in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, signing a deal to be the series' logistics partner in September 2013.[1] In their role as logistics partner, DHL are responsible for shipping all 22 FE cars, teams and equipment around the world to each E-Prix, basing their FE operations at Donington Park.[3]

Formula E History

DHL would become one of the founding partners of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship on the 15 September 2013, signing a deal with Formula E Holdings to become the series' logistics partner.[1] The deal would see DHL become responsible for shipping all 42 Spark-Renault SRT_01Es to each ePrix, basing their operations from Donington Park.[1] The German owned firm would also promote their home ePrix in 2014/15, becoming the title sponsor of the 2015 Berlin ePrix.[4]
